DNPI (Dewan Nasional Perubahan Iklim), the National Council on Climate Change, established in July 2008, is a government organization which has mandated by the President to formulate national policies, mechanism and procedure on carbon trade; monitor evaluate policy implementation on climate change management and control; and to support the negotiators on UNFCCC negotiations and compile Indonesia's position for each international negotiation meetings.
|Continuing on last year’s success, the National Council on Climate Change will organize the “INDONESIA CLIMATE CHANGE EDUCATION FORUM AND EXPO 2012” on 19 – 22 April 2012 to be held at the Assembly Hall – Jakarta Convention Center. A series of events will be organized as part of the National Campaign to support public awareness in exploring and developing solutions of climate change impacts in Indonesia. The events will be a good media for exchanging information and educating the society on climate change issues, including the efforts conducted by the Indonesian stakeholders and their international partners to reduce green house gases emissions and to enhance climate change adaptation programs
